Hi. I’m Arlene.

I have always been interested in different art mediums. Growing up in a large Midwestern city has given me a cosmopolitan outlook on individual design. I like to merge fashion chic with classic appeal.

My interest in jewelry grew out of being unable to purchase bracelets “off the rack” because my wrist is small or find desirable colors in jewelry items. I just wasn’t happy if everything didn’t match.

A few years ago I visited a local beadshop and knew immediately that jewelry was an art form that I needed to explore. Out of several beadwork classes and dozens of jewelry books and periodicals was the beginning of Arlene’s Accents, my custom beadwork designs. I decided if I was going to invest my time in this endeavor, I would use only the best components including quality beads and sterling silver findings. You will never see a plastic bead in my work.

After completing many custom orders, gifts and home parties, friends and family suggested I share my ideas in a broader venue. So here I am…relax and enjoy my beaded creations, my passion.
